Laguna Beach, CA – Sawdust Studio Art Classes announces “Girls’ Nite Out” – a series of Monday evening art classes offered from 6-8 pm during the remainder of the summer festival. Classes are two hours in length and taught by professional instructors, many of which are artists exhibiting in the 45th Annual Sawdust Art Festival.
Students can spend a convivial evening with gal pals and make a unique art piece to wear or to share. To further enhance the experience afterward, students can enjoy live entertainment, good food, or just shop for collectible art pieces on the festival grounds.
Cost for the evening of fun is $95, which includes admission to the Sawdust Art Festival and a complimentary beverage at the Sawdust Saloon. To sign up for Sawdust Studio Art Classes “Girls’ Nite Out,” navigate to www.SawdustStudioArtClasses.com or call Cherril Doty, Sawdust Studio Art Classes Manager, at 714-745-9973. “Girls deserve a creative night out with friends. Also new this year are the September Glassblowing Classes. As part of the Sawdust Studio Art Classes program, students can take two-hour glassblowing classes offered everyday at 10 am and 2 pm from September 6th through the end of the month. Students will experience a taste of what it is like to create a mini glass masterpiece using hot malleable glass straight from the kiln. Beginners are welcome.
The $250 class fee, for up to two students, includes all materials and instruction needed. Sawdust artists and glassblowing instructors include: Bruce Freund, Gavin Heath, Christopher Jeffries, Jason and Nicole McQuaid, Mike Panetta and Marcus Thesing.
“We are excited about the chance to be teaching glassblowing in September,” said Gavin Heath, Sawdust Board Member and glassblower. “There are many glass enthusiasts that come to our grounds during the festival and now they have the opportunity to take a class while we still have the furnace on immediately following the show,” he concluded.
