SAWDUST ART FESTIVAL’S ANNUAL ART STUDIO TOUR RETURNS ON APRIL 9 & 10!
Tickets to the Sawdust Art Festival’s April 9 & 10 Art Studio Tour
in Laguna Beach are on sale now!

Laguna Beach, CA-Laguna Beach is one of the most charming towns in California. With its quaint cottages, rocky coastline, and whitewater views, Laguna Beach is a feast for the eyes. Add that Laguna Beach is a thriving artists’ colony with a unique creative atmosphere and you get an enchantingly diverse place to visit.

A great way to explore this picturesque town is to attend the Sawdust Art Festival’s annual Art Studio Tour on April 9 and 10. The tour gives guests an intimate glimpse into the lives of the artists who call Laguna Beach home. Visiting private studios, not galleries that are open to the public, tour-goers meet the artists and learn about the art they create and the individual settings that inspire them.

Studios are housed in all types of buildings: canyon-side cottages, hillside homes and industrial loft-style spaces.

Artists participating in this year’s tour include Brian Allen, Randy Bader, John Barber, Don Brown, Joan Corman, Mary Murray, Siân Poeschl, Troy Poeschl, Ashley Pigden-Hemsley, Simon Purll, Drake Sawyer, Aileen Stevens, Michele Taylor, Skip Roma, and Marianne van der Veer. Over 50 artists are scheduled to open their studios.

And how to best remember your special visit? Purchase a piece of art directly from one (or two) of the artists you meet. With all types of artistic media including oil,

acrylic and watercolor painting, fine jewelry, hand-blown and fused glass, vintage china mosaics, wooden sculpture and furniture, and photography represented there is sure to be something you can’t do without!

The 14th annual Sawdust Art Festival Art Studio Tour is Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10. Tour hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day. Each day concludes with an artists’ reception from 4 – 6 p.m., with wine, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment, at the Sawdust’s Gallery 935.

One-day tickets are $45; weekend tickets are $75. Tickets include transportation to the studios, tours and the reception. Call 949-494-3030 to purchase tickets with a major credit card. All tours begin and end at the Sawdust Art Festival, 935 Laguna Canyon Road, where free parking is available. Additional information is available at SawdustArtFestival.org
