Grace Barrak (www.graceartglass.com) A glass blower and glass jewelry designer, exhibits at both the summer and winter Sawdusts.

Introduction to hot glass techniques: Learn how to gather, pull, form, sculpt and blow molten glass into decorative pieces. Taught in collaboration with Mike Panetta.

Sherry Bullard  (www.sherrybullard.com) After 25 years of exhibiting and teaching at the Sawdust Art Festival, Sherry has created a fun and exciting approach to working with clay.

Ceramic art, hand building with clay: Learn how to create sculptural tiles, cups and plates with a variety of hand building techniques, surface decoration, and glaze applications.  The pieces made the 1st Sunday are fired and ready to glaze the 2nd Sunday.

Loren Chapman (Sawdust Artists A-L) A master glass blower and long time Sawdust Exhibitor.

Glass blowing: Learn how to blow glass and experience the process and stages of turning molten glass into objects.

Joan Corman (www.joancorman.com) A well known local painter and Sawdust exhibitor, Joan’s work can be found in many private collections

Experimenting with acrylic techniques:  Learn how to use different painting methods to create desired effects on your paintings.

Cherril Doty (www.cherrildoty.com) A creative life coach and Sawdust artist, Cherril is in love with exploring the mysteries life through art

Mixed media playtime: An opportunity to play in a variety of media, exploring different forms of self-expression, open for both beginners and established artists. Taught in collaboration with Suzette Rosenthal.

John Eagle (www.studio7gallery.com) Nationally known Impressionist oil painter and Sawdust exhibitor.

Impressionist oil painting: Understand the process of being an oil painter.  You will have the opportunity to finish 2 canvases, a landscape and seascape over the weekend.

Roberta Goodman (www.beadediris.com) A local teacher and artist Roberta brings many years of jewelry making and beading experience to this class.

Wire wrapping and jewelry making:  Learn how to wire wrap, make a bracelet, and incorporate beads and semi precious stones into several pieces of jewelry.

Charlene Guy (Sawdust Artists A-L) A long time Sawdust exhibitor, LPAPA member and LOCA teacher.

Oil painting: This class is perfect for beginning and intermediate students.  Learn shading and color mixing with oils, as you paint seascapes of the Laguna Beach area.  Take home a completed painting each day.

Christopher Jeffries (www.jeffriesglass.com) A Sawdust exhibitor and well regarded glass blower in Laguna.

Dennis Junka (Sawdust Artists A-L) A long-time Sawdust exhibitor, graphic artist and amazing floral designer.

Floral design & arranging:  Explore the exciting world of designing and arranging flowers, take home beautiful bouquets at the end of each day.  Bring your own vases to work with and design around.

Reem Khalil (www.rkhalil.com) A Sawdust exhibitor, multi media artist and fabric designer whose work can be found all over the world and throughout the United States.

Silk painting techniques:  Learn the ancient art of shibori, line drawing and texturing as you create your own hand painted silk pieces.

James Koch: (Sawdust Artists A-L) A 12 years Sawdust exhibitor, James has been taking found and salvaged metal and turning it into exciting large and small sculptural art. For the first time he will be sharing his knowledge in this class, no experience necessary.

Metal & wire sculpture: “Get wired with James” explore how to create wire sculptures, both abstract and representational using various bending and wire wrapping techniques.

Karen Mills (www.ricepaperart.com) A self taught artist Karen has exhibited her work in many galleries across the country.

Watercolors on rice paper: Week 1 Flowers: Learn about different types of rice paper, Chinese brushes, color loading and brush strokes to capture the beauty of flowers, no sketching or drawing is involved.  Week 2 Landscapes, Koi fish: Learn how to create mystical landscapes and the special techniques for painting colorful koi fish.

Mike Panetta A talented Laguna Beach glass blower and Winter Fantasy exhibitor, Mike has studied glass blowing in Italy and specializes in glass sculpture.

Introduction to hot glass techniques: Learn how to gather, pull, sculpt and blow molten glass into decorative pieces.  Taught in collaboration with Grace Barrack.

Ashley Pigden-Hemsley (Sawdust Artists M-Z) A gifted mosaic artist and longtime Sawdust exhibitor.

Vintage china mosaic: Learn how to transform vintage china into a finished work of art.  This 2-day process involves cutting, arranging, gluing, grouting and sanding vintage china into new and beautiful works of art.

Catherine Reade (www.catherinereadedesigns.com) A fine jewelry designer and fabricator, Catherine works primarily in gold & silver to create one of a kind pieces.

Silver jewelry fabrication: Learn how to solder, texture, embellish, and cut silver to create a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Suzette Rosenthal (www.suzetterosenthal.com) A mixed media collage artist and Sawdust exhibitor, Suzette has perfected the art of turning everyday bits and pieces of found objects into works of art.

Mixed Media playtime: Learn basic collage techniques using a variety of materials-paint, paper, fibers, and images to create art, begin an art journal, and produce Artist Trading Cards to exchange with each other. Taught in collaboration with Cherril Doty.

Michele Taylor  (www.micheletaylorstudios.com) A talented glass and multi media artist, Sawdust and Festival of Arts exhibitor Michele has created many art in public places pieces.

Cuerda Seca glazed tile workshop: Learn how to use wax line drawings, transfers and glazes to create finished tiles that can be used inside or outside as back splashes, wall features, or tabletops.

Susan Wade (www.susanwadefineart.com) A wonderful teacher, painter, and Sawdust exhibitor.

California Impressionism a painting method with acrylic paints:  Learn the techniques needed to develop clean, bright painterly paintings.  This class also covers composition and color mixing. You will complete 2 paintings, a California landscape &a fresh flower bouquet.

Sally Wilde (Sawdust Artists M-Z) A long time potter and Sawdust exhibitor.

Throwing on a potter’s wheel: If you marvel as you watch a potter at work at the potter’s wheel, discover how it feels to get your own hands on the clay. Learn how to center and open the clay to make a cylinder and a bowl. There will also be the opportunity to learn other hand building and glazing techniques in this class.
