The world-famous Sawdust
Art Festival invites you to experience the artistic
wonders of 200 Laguna Beach artists
at our 42nd Annual Summer Show. Our artists find inspiration in our
canyon paradise of tranquil waterfalls and towering eucalyptus trees
and we’re certain you will, too!
Since 1966, art enthusiasts,
admirers, and budding artists have been drawn to the unique Sawdust
environment for our mix of original fine art and craft. Artists’
media include ceramics, jewelry, painting, textile arts, wood and metal
sculpture, photography, hand blown and fused glass, and even scrimshaw.
If you’re just starting or looking to increase your art collection,
the Sawdust Art Festival is the place for you.
Part of the Sawdust mission
is to educate the public about the arts of Laguna Beach so we provide
art experiences throughout the summer. We offer art
projects
for children and adults, artists' demonstrations including glass blowing
and Summer Evening Art Classes
every Sunday through Thursday at 7 p.m. (class schedules available in
June) Take a chance and explore the artist in you!
Join our Sawdust tour guides
on a Meet the Artists Tour
where you’ll have one-on-one visits with artists or take an informational
Walkabout Tour
to hear and see interesting behind-the-scenes Sawdust tidbits and facts.
Both tours are complimentary and offer visitors an introduction to the
arts and a glimpse into the lives of artists. Tour days and times to
be announced. Walkabout Tours are ideal for first-time visitors and
reservations are recommended.
Another Sawdust summer tradition
is the Artists'
Benevolence Fund Art Auction on Sunday, August
3, 2-5 p.m. to support local artists in times of dire need. This auction
is an excellent opportunity to purchase original artwork while helping
support Laguna Beach artists.
And, take a break from your
art classes and shopping by enjoying the live entertainment
at one of our three
stages or dine at one of our outdoor cafés.
The Sawdust Art Festival
… a hands-on, interactive art adventure for any age.
